The Nassau beach hotel was quite a convenience for total relaxation and tranquility. My children and I really thank for this opportunity. It?s a pleasure for me to let family and friends in on your deals.

This hotel was so bad I am writing the 1st hotel review ever to warn you! STAY AWAY It is in a bad location (drug dealers and hoodlums right outside and for 2 blocks) Looks terrible and is dirty, and the room was a joke. Everything like from a poor man flea market. Terrible just TERRIBLE. I tried to be respectful to the employees as I realize they are doing a job, but they were very unfriendly and no help. STAY ANYWHERE else.

Upset that it took 2 hours to find me an air conditioned room. Asked for one down hall but wouldn't give as more ocean view $50 more night- yet never rented all weekend there. Saw Huge Cockroach in room though I hear those are common in the carribean. Still creapy.. Was quiet when I was there and must saw the BEACH was amazing and better than the casino/hotel's next door. They do fireworks on special occassions in the ocean on holidays. Right next door is AWESOME restaurant with amazing staff. Great Bahamian or American food

It's a real shame that they will be tearing this hotel down this summer to build one of those megaplexes like Atlantis. We went to Nassau for the beach and to unwind, and this hotel was perfect for both. You can walk next door for the jingle-jangle of the casino. The rooms are old, but fine - thanks to the person who suggested the New Providence Wing. The staff was gracious. And the daiquari shack across the street is a perfect afternoon hike. Fortunately, we got out of there just as the spring break kids started swarming. I'd go again next year, but it won't be there!

The Nassau Beach Hotel was much better than comments I had read. Although the hotel is older, the room was clean, staff friendly, and all charges were included when I checked out. There were no surprise add-ons as others had complained about. Location is ideal, especially for golf, and the beach was great.

Everything was as expected. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Hotel could use some upkeep as do all older Bahamian hotels. Great sleep though partyers in next room did wake us. Food nearby (Sbarros) was good, especially Bahamian cuisine. Would stay again, FOR 1 - 2 days, without hesitation. Longer than that, it would be a little too busy for me as I prefer quiet Bahamian breezes far from the madding crowd. Staff were courteous. No extra charges were made on the room and access to other hotels & casino a plus.

I just wanted to warn any one thinking of checking in to this hotel....We checked in , first we were given two keys that did not work...so if and when we wanted to get in our room we had to call security..but go to the front desk, since no one will answer the phone that sits on the front desk. I prepaid for 4 days and left after the first night,I didn't mind losing the money, the conditions were totally unexceptable!!!They should bull doze the place and save everyone else from the horrible...horrible disgrace of a so called HOTEL?????

Location is ideal. Room size is really big with double sinks. No coffee maker provided and coffee shop closed very early. Having no way to drink coffee or tea late evening or early morning

This hotel is AWFUL! Here are a list of the problems I had from checking in: It took over an hour to check in, my phone was broken, room stank so badly of mildew and mold I couldn't sleep, RUDE staff, broken locks on both doors, no bar by the pool, etc etc.

There were HUGE cockroaches coming from behind the toilet running. The sheets on the bed had old blood stains. Water overflowed all over the floor once I brushed my teeth. The room was very old and the carpet was nasty. I wouldn't let my dog sleep in that hotel.

Any package you choose like a Majestic Lady Dinner Cruise, Robinson Crusoe Trip, they have a photographer take pictures. The musicians on the Robinson Crusoe cruise try to sell their C.D.'s. When it is trip is over your pictures are placed on a table and everyone can see your pictures - which are for sale $40.00. Tour guides ask for "donations". The Hotel was clean, we had no air condition, water or T.V. for several hours one day because of a thunderstorm. We when to the beach to cool off. The fuel odors from the boats near the beach is terrible!

I had been worried after reading the reviews-but for naught--The hotel is older, but quaint, and clean. The room was large and the employees were the greatest--Loved the island, loved the people,

The hotel staff was very unfriendly... but if your looking for a cheap place in a great location, stay here. You won't get much help from the staff though.

The Nassau Beach Hotel had the best rates for beachfront hotels which is what attracted us. I found it to be an amazing value. There was a hot water issue the first night which was immediately rectified. There was a problem with phone calls charged to the room, so i would advise looking into any issues BEFORE you are rushing off to the airport!

Well, this is a low cost hotel that earns it's reputation! From the 2.5 in roach to the mold on the ceiling tiles to the leaky faucet to the drunk clientele - barely worth the money.

Just returned from a large group trip for a friend's wedding. While my room was relatively decent, the rest of my friends in various rooms had strange horror stories to share dealing with the hotel. Housekeeping is very spotty. Beware of the timeshare resort hawkers in the front lobby and at various places all over the island! Service was awful at restaurants, and all doors from the beach were locked by 5 p.m., with no directional signs to get back into the hotel. Would stay elsewhere if we return to the Bahamas.

We arrived early to the hotel, were badgered for our bags, told our room would be ready at 1 then 3, lectured for not giving them our bags when we got there. Rooms looked like they were falling apart from mold and rust. They do charge for maid service.

Location is awesome. Beach and amenities at beach good. Service at hotel was poor. Lobby and common areas were well kept, very neat and clean, but rooms were in need of repair. Hallways have an odor. Our room had a dripping faucet, stained bathroom ceiling, falling off tile trim and a shower that would not hold a comfortable temperature. Staff was very unresponsive. We requested a refrigerator prior to arrival and reminded staff every day. Never got one.

it was a very nice small hotel, very convenient for young people who are just starting to travel. however, there are little things such as roaches found in the rooms and when it rains there have been a few incident of flooding in the room. but i understand that at the end of the year the hotel will be demolished. hope that they rebuild another one with better accomodation.
