It is possible to stay in the room that gave hospitality to the great Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi more than a century ago. The nineteenth-century furniture and the precious “cotto” floor – even requested by Firenze for the repair of Palazzo Pitti at the end of the Second World War – are the same ones found by the Maestro.

Staying in the Suite is really a lovely evocative experience: a comfortable room embellished with frescoes, old furniture and a picture of Napoléon.

Other large frescoed, old style rooms can give comfortably hospitality up to four people.

 Date of Stay: March, 2006
Very nice and convenient hotel located in the very hart of the city providing a certain level of style that only Italian town hotels may have. Only the restaurant they recommended to us did not meet our expectations. Still: We would always return with pleasure, which indeed we did.

2. From: MESSINA MAURIZIO
 Date of Stay: December, 2005
Great location (few meters from all the sites to view), free cycles rent, free internal parking. The hotel "smell" a little bit of a glorious past. Great experience!

This is a hotel with a glorious past but is clearly past its prime. We were lucky enough to have one of the huge corner rooms with the frescoes on the ceiling and it was quite nice. It almost felt like we had been transported back to the 1920s. Still, the hotel could have used some refurbishment but all in all it was pretty cool.

4. From: Harriman Les
 Date of Stay: November, 2005
The renovation of the rooms is nice but not elaborate -- at least not the rooms we occupied. The internet description of the hotel led one to expect more. Breakfast was just okay, perhaps the smallest spread we saw in Italy. There is dedicated parking (for a fee), but drop-off is right on a main street from a traffic lane: one must stop traffic to approach the desk and to find out where parking is located. 8. From: Hudson David
 Date of Stay: July, 2004
Great place to stay, Larage rooms, big breakfast, easy to find, great staff at the desk. I would stay here again if I were to visit Ferrara again. This was the nicest room we stayed in during out entire 2.5 week tour of Germany and Italy.

9. From: Thomas Robert
 Date of Stay: July, 2003
This is an excellent hotel located beside the historic heart of Ferrara. I wish I had stayed here longer. The hotel itself is very beautiful. A definite winner and the price is so reasonable.
