I would not consider the hotel I stayed at to be a 4-star property. I have stayed at many and this was at the low end of the scale. The room was ordinary and some of the fixtures (e.g., toilet seat, coffee maker) were broken. There were other aspects that were also annoying. For instance, there was no ice maker. Ice had to be ordered through room service, which required a ling wait. I could not even find a pen in the room to fill out the express check out card. Local calls were charged without notice (weak cell reception in room and had to use room phone).

I thought the hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel also for location..it is very close to Coconut Grove.

This is no 4 star hotel. Bad: Room had funky odor, bath room was not clean. No duvet covers. Looked like it had not been renovated for the past 20 years. Good: Location is good. Nice comfortable bed.

The Grand bay Hotel at one time was a great one. It seriously needs an upgrade, as it seems that it hasn't had one since the late 80's when I last stayed there. The staff was somewhat cordial but it was not four-star service. The only consolation I have is that it was exactly the area I wanted to stay in. The room was not very clean; the carpet smelled and really needs to be changed. I was afraid to walk around barefoot. The other consolation was that the price was OK, not great but OK. For a couple of hundred dollars more I could have stayed in a real four-star hotel.

Every thing satisfactory with the exception of some cleanliness issues with the bathroom i.e.; hair found on commode, walls, sink, and shower. Otherwise, every thing o.k.

The Grand Bay in Coconut Grove was very nice overall. The rooms were clean, and beds were very cozy. Parking was expensive, especially for the area. I wish we would have known about it before booking the room. Also, the hot tub was not working, and we were really looking forward to soaking in it. Other than that, the service was very good, and the staff was friendly. We had never been to Coconut Grove, so it was a nice change of pace from Miami Beach.

The Wyndham Grand Bay is located across the street from Biscayne Bay and our very large room had a fantastic balcony with a beautiful view. It was within walking distance of shopping/dining and the staff was most helpful during our stay. Bed was very comfortable with down comforter and pillows. Negatives: the balcony door was almost impossible to open and room smelled of mildew. Carpet was peppered with stains. Our non-smoking room was 2 doors away from smoking which I discovered when trying to enjoy my balcony at the same time as the smokers.

Good hotel, great location, only thing lacking was the work out facility was subpar for the hotel.

Overall facility was quite nice. The only major item was the ADDITIONAL $19.00 parking fee required at this hotel ... that item should have been noted before we booked the room.

Overall very nice facility. Staff very helpful, close to a number of nice restaurants and shops. Water right across the street. Would definitely stay here again.

Well maintained hotel, fairly well located not far from the Miami port.

Reviews on other websites made me fear this hotel would be an aging, dirty dump. Quite the contrary. I really had no complaints and I'm an elitist! I have certainly stayed in more elegant hotels for $500 and up but for the money I was extremely pleased.

I really don't look forward to staying at the hotel. Although, the manager always tries to take care of me and upgrades my room. I still feel the hotel is needing a facelift. Rooms need some updating/brightening and new rugs.

The rooms were outstanding, they upgraded me to a Deluxe. I did not use any of the amenities such as workout room, bar or restaurant, so I cannot comment.... Would stay there again, with no problem...

Except for the valet parking, it couldn't have been a better experience. The staff was so helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall pleasant, but an older hotel. The rooms could definitely undergo a make-over" and renovations."

They had no tooth paste in hotel, no iron had to call for it, the ironing board is broken, the room smells, the staff was courteous, valet parking is $19, too high.

TV remote not in room; shoewer head broken; tropical plants would be beautiful if they were not so old
