Power went out due to a line down. Electricity came back at about 3 am. What we saw in the morning was nice, but a hotel without A/C and anylighs id bad news.

Everything was great other than the pool - not in service and we were given coupons for breakfast due to power outage and haven't used then yet. We have been staying there for the past four weekends and plan to stay again.

I would recommend this hotel. I enjoyed my stay and hope that I can get this hotel next time. It wasn't the Vegas Stratosphere, but it was very good.

 Clean, safe, reasonably priced hotel.

This hotel was almost perfect! They fell short in some important areas. One, being that we're in Tucson and we know that every year we have awful monsoons and power outages, you would think management would be well equipped for it. Wrong. Power goes out, it gets very hot, extremely muggy, and there is nothing to do! Top that off with it being monsoon, you can't go anywhere so you're pretty much stuck in a rut. In addition, an employee actually mentioned they had just installed emergency lighting the week before. They've been there for years! And if that wasn't bad enough, they are one of the big conference centers. What about everyone that pays big money to have a conference and you have no power? There was a very large kids chess group, I felt awful for them. Also, who does resurfacing work on their pool in middle of the summer season when everyone wants to be in the pool? That was just amazing. They made up for it with free movies, little good that did with no power. However, the rooms are great, amazing comfy beds, your choice of pillow types, and the service of the employees was wonderful. Everyone is so nice. I'll be back, hopefully when the power isn't off again.

We stayed in the detached motel part of this hotel. Very friendly staff, pool not in service.

I don't want to be there again.

The bed was very springing and firm, but manageable. The Jacuzzi was at a good hot temperature. The high-speed internet worked very well. Just make sure there is no military personnel stay there at the same time. I can get a bit chaotic, but the staff does a good job in controlling any noise problems.

During 3 weeks on the road-this was the least comfortable room. Horrible bed (springy). Poor air conditioning. Carpet seemed unclean. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful, so we definitely had the sense we were being sent to Siberia-the ugly rooms. Many years before I became a teacher, I was a bell captain at a Holiday Inn in Fresno, California. The quality and service at that time were far superior to what we experienced in Tucson. Our experiences at the various other hotels in Arizona, Bakersfield, and Camarillo were wonderful.

I thought the lobby area looked fine -- but hallways, ceilings showed rust, old paint -- seemed a bit dingy.

12. From: Kelly, Mesa, Az

The hotel would have been a lot nicer if they would turn on their A/C the lobbies and halls were so hot and it was hard to cool down our rooms. The elevator caught on fire and we had to be out of our rooms for 11/2 hours and then had to take the stairs to the 6th floor for the rest of our stay.

For a 2 star hotel it wasn't bad. I think the price I paid was fair. The hotel had the normal compliment of expected hotel amenities. Nothing special, however.

14. From: Ronnie, Clovis, Nm

The hotel was well worth the price I paid for it.

This hotel is not in fact at the airport. It's not that it's very far away, but it's not what I expected, given the Name "holiday inn Tucson airport. it was perfectly nice, but not a 3-star hotel. Front desk staff was lovely; restaurant staff was somewhat distracted and hard to find.

16. From: Jessica, Sierra Vista, Az

Nice place, but not very romantic. A little overpriced for what we got.

17. From: John, Glendale, Az
 Date of Stay: June, 2007
Nice lobby with waterfall, big pool. Rooms are small, old furniture, bathrooms are bad, and toilet didn't flash. When I asked to get it fixed, the reply was: the plumbing is 20 years old, so what do you expect?" only 1 elevator was working during our 4 day stay there. Hotel is old, not what you would expect from holiday inn.

Excellent stay would stay there again.

19. From: Richard, Safford, Az

I would probably stay here again but it would be my second option.

20. From: Lupe, Tucson, Az
 Date of Stay: May, 2007
Everything was great, the customer service, the hotel room, and location. The only gripe we had was that it took more than five minutes for us to get into an elevator and finally take us to our floor. Hopefully next time, both elevators will be working. Other than that, we had a good night's sleep, and would like to stay here again the next time we visit our family in Tucson.
