Transportation: Buses run from the airport to Naples train station and the port (Piazza Municipio) and also to Sorrento. The bus to Amalfi departs from Piazza Muncipio. Taxis are also available from the airport. From the port, hydrofoils and ferries connect to the island of Capri. Salerno is the nearest train station, 25 kilometres away and a bus connects to Amalfi from SS Martiri Salernitani. Amalfi is best explored on foot. Buses serve the local area or a hire car would be useful for trips along the coast and exploring inland.
