We have stayed at the Monteleone before and although we had to pay the "upcharge" for being there during Jazzfest it is still a great hotel. I had ordered in fresh flowers and they were beautiful and there waiting for us. The bar is a must visit.

First time to New Orleans and we had a great visit. Staff was very helpful with points of interest and restaurants to eat at. The hotel is convenient to all points of interest. We did a lot of walking! Rooms are small but were very comfortable. Had a great view of the Mississippi River. Food and drinks in hotel restaurants were great! I will definately stay here again!

Really loved the beds & linens & the bathroom was luxurious. Visit NOLA every 2-3 years and will definitely come back to this hotel. The singing story tellers were wonderful! Concierge info was scant, but perhaps due to Christmas closings.

We?ve been coming to NOLA every year for 30 years and have stayed at every 3- 4 star hotel. I?ve wanted to stay at the Monteleone, but it was a bit beyond my budget. It went beyond all my expectations. Everything about this hotel says class. The lobby is gorgeous, an intimate scale, the staff was charming and helpful. Our river-facing room was elegant. My only disappointment -- smoking in the bar. Louisiana passed a no-smoking where food is served. So, it seems they were

Safe Box had a low battery signal. This should be checked by the room attendant, not the customer. There was no refrigerator for personal use.

Missed '05 vacation due to Katrina. Stayed @ Monty in April for birthdays, French 1/4 Fest. Happy to see that she seemed unscathed. Returned in Sept for vacation '06, and staff wecomed us like friends. Nice to be recognized, friendly attentive staff made out stay an absolute delight. Glad to see the girls in Le Cafe' again, excellent service and warm morning greetings put a smile on every day. Consierge helpful and friendly. Family asked why we go back, answer: I love this place. To borrow a phrase: "There's no place like home". I can't wait to go back again.See ya soon.

My stay at this hotel was fantastic. The hotel is in a convenient location, and it is well maintained and very clean. The pool area was very nice and all the staff went out of their way to be as helpfull as possible. The rates were a bargain as well, making this one of my best vacation experiences.

I booked two nights for a weekend get away in the Monteleon on Royal Street. It was wonderful to see that this grand old hotel did not seemed to have missed a beat with the aftermath of Katrina. It was still the opulent grand hotel I remembered which was comforting. It is so well located off Bourbon Street and close to Galotoires, Brennans, Dick Brennans, The Court of Two Sisters and all those wonderful antiques and art shops. There is a great new spa located on the second floor in the Monteleon but be sure to make reservations for service.

The staff is what makes Hotel Monteleone a fabulous experience. They are gracious, helpful, warm, and just plain nice! The room had stains on the furniture and one of the double beds had a mattress that slanted. I should have asked for another room. The Aria Spa on the Mezzanine level was relaxing and so convienient. I would recommend the hotel to friends and the breakfast buffet in the cafe.

The Monteleone looks fabulous and is still one of the best locations in the Quarter. Rooms are nicely appointed, lobby is beautiful and the Carousel Bar reminds you of the old days.

Desk clerk was very helpful, gave us a room on 12th floor looking over the river. Everything was spotless, first class- a beautiful older hotel. Rooftop pool was a quiet place to begin our mornings. Concierge was very helpful. Location was great. Room was small, but first class- appeared to have been recently renovated. GREAT - we'll go again.

I met my husband here for a short visit before he deployed to Iraq. The hotel was wonderful, the upgraded our room. Everything was very clean, people were very nice, food was great. Room service only serves until 9pm. A little early for New Orleans

The Great: I was upgraded to a king size bedroom from a double bedroom. The carousel bar is a lot of fun, the bartenders are great. The hotel is in a great location. Royal street has tons of shopping. It?s a quick walk to jax brewery area & to bourbon. Walgreens next door for any emergency needs and an ATM. The not so good: You must pay to park in the hotel garage or a $20/day at the surrounding garages. Hotel parking was full the entire time I was there. In the mornings housekeeping is EXTREMELY loud --don't plan on sleeping in.
