After the toll booth, follow the signs indicating the center of the city, pass over the bridge and then take your first right onto Viale Luporini. Transportation: By Car:
- Drive north along the motorway marked by green signs in the direction of Viareggio-Genova.
- After 10-15 km it will connect with the A11 motorway Lucca-Firenze.
- Exit at Lucca Est (you will have to pay a toll).
- Follow the main large road following the signs to the city centre.
- You will pass over a fly-over, and 200 metres along you will notice the Walls of Lucca just in front of you.
- Continue straight on, with the walls on your right-hand side.
- You will notice one of the entrances to the old city, but continue straight on to the second large entrance through the walls, this is called Porta San Donato (in front of a gas station).
- Remember to drive along the nearest lane to the sidewalk.
- Once inside the walls turn left (on your right there's a small playground).
- After 200 metres, turn right into Via Pelleria.
- Drive for 100 metres to a small square where you turn right into Via San Tommaso.
- Continue straight on for 100 metres, then turn left (there's a wall in front of you).
- At the end of the street you are going to be in Via Galli Tassi; the hotel is on the left corner.
