Food was very poor quality. Clothes were accidentally removed from our room and still haven't been returned after several weeks. Good location (close to 2 tube stations). Smoking area was adjacent to main foyer which was very unpleasant although this may need to change after the change in the laws this year. Very noisy due to wooden floorbards - every creak could be heard which didn't make for the best sleep. However, if you'rer looking for a reasonably clean and good value hotel it isn't so bad. Just plan to get breakfast outside!

It is a pity because it could have been a great place but the bed covers were flithy and there was a general air of carelessness about cleanliness that spoilt it for me.

The bedsheets in the twin room i upgraded to was solied by urine. We could not get the hotel staff to change the sheets. For a so called 3-star hotel, this is unforgiveable. I would not hesistate to discourage others from staying there. This hotel should be regraded to a no star hotel.

Stayed in double room for four nights. Room was clean and well serviced, bathroom small but of much higher quality than most other budget hotels. Very convenient location and helpful staff. Self service breakfast of cereals, toast, boiled eggs and coffeee/tea provided with excellent efficiency by the ladies in charge, who always managed to keep everthing well stocked, even at the busiest times. Overall good value for money.

typical london city hotel. rooms are tiny, old furniture, yet clean. bathroom was supposed to be attached to my room, but had to walk out of my room down a flight of stairs to get to it. tiny bathroom as well - and I mean tiny. but private and not shared, so I couldn't care less. hotel is generally ok. have slept in far worse places. not advisable for romantic getaways, though. can't beat the price and the location. three tube-stations within 5 min. will come back, didn't spend much time in the hotel anyway... ;-)

This Hotel is little more than a youth hostel for overseas students and is not a 3 star hotel. We had a triple room, which was a small double room with an extra bed squeezed in, leaving very little room to move about the room never mind get ready for a night out. The room was not very clean, with mildew in the bathroom. The shower was very basic and had to be manipulated to prevent water squirting out all over the tiny bathroom, from the leaks around the shower head. There was no complimentry shampoo, but small bars of unwrapped soap were provided. The television was placed on the only free surface in the room, and was a mismatch of channels with very poor reception. Only facilities, were a hot water urn located in the foyer with tea bags, coffee and milk. The only positive thing i could say about the hotel was that breakfast was of an adequate standard served in clean surroundings. Overall i would not recomend this hotel and if I had not paid for it in advance i would of left.

Very average. In some rooms the toilet is outside, some floors above or below. Ridiculous... I do not recommend it at all.

Room was too small . However hotel was very clean and service was good . Complimentary tea and coffee in hotel was excellent and breakfast was very good. One complaint I would have is that staff tended to spray nearby tables with cleansing liquid while one was eating breakfast. This took from what should have been a very enjoyable breakfast.

nice area located it, clean, but rooms very small (at least single room was very small); but quite nice: calm, clean, warm and though looks very simple but renovated. bathroom facilities work properly. recommended to stay short term if you don't expect to spend much time in the hotel.

Simple room and OK standard in accordance with price. Can be recommended for not too demanding guests. OK continental breakfast(no English breakfast). Have stayed at the hotel several times and is going to revisit it again when in London.

If you just need somewhere to sleep, in a quiet but central location this is an excellent low-budget choice. The "basic single" rooms are but comfortable. Basic but quite adequate breakfast among cosmopolitan guests. Good meals at a typical London pub round the corner and a very short walk from Hyde Park and Notting Hill Gate, I'll be using it again.

ROOM NOT BIG ENOUGH TO SWING A MOUSE LET ALONE A CAT. BATHROOM WAS OUT OF MY ROOM AND DOWN TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS AND NO HEATING. STAFF ARGUEING ON THE FRONT DESK AND HAD TO BE HELD BACK FROM EACH OTHER, BOTH AT SUPERVISORY LEVEL.STAFF RUDE AND ABRUPT. THE PICTURE IS FALSE AND DOES NOT MATCH THE FRONTAGE. NO BAR, NO HANGERS IN MY ROOM, CURTAINS DID NOT PULL TOGETHER. OFFERED ANOTHER ROOM BUT NO DIFFERANT SO KEPT THE ONE I WAS IN.I COULD GO ON BUT I THINK YOU GET THE PICTURE, THANKFULLY I WAS ONLY THERE ONE NIGHT !

This is the only London hotel we've experienced and can't really compare with others. It was decent for the price and was reasonably located (restaurants close by and Tube station 5-min walk). Via travel guides we were prepared for the smallness of the room, but it was still quite small. The room was kept warmer than we'd like, but we opened the window to compensate. Late-night noises outside were a problem. The desk staff were reasonably helpful (e.g., with securing airport shuttle and tours) but didn't go out of their way. We were not disappointed and would recommend this place for the budget-minded.
