Description: It is a big house, painted partially in a delightful Tuscan yellow ochre and the rest compromising exposed brickwork. There is a private lane, a large parking area - all surrounded by a lovely garden and field. We have recently renovated the whole building and the ground floor has been decorated with the utmost care for use as guest accommodation for a max of 12 guests. This area is completely independent from the first floor, which is for private use only. We have five very attractive double bedrooms available - all well light and quiet. Each room has its own bathroom with shower, wash basin, bidet and WC. The heating and cooling system are really very innovative, made by the newest energetic saving techniques. All the wooden furniture is new, chosen for its beautiful detailing and sense of harmony within the rooms. The bed and table-linen, sheets, coverlets, towels are homemade, outcome of an ancient family tradition and still kept up. Breakfast is served in a lovely room where you can also socialise with other guests or enjoy a good book at other times of the day, we have a selection of books to borrow in various languages and you are encouraged to leave your paperbacks behind for other guests.
Transportation: Half-way between Pistoia and Firenze, in Olmi (the Elm-trees), outside QuarrataHow to reach us by car:Motorway (Autostrada) A-11 Firenze-Mare, take the Prato Ovest exit when coming from A-1 Milano-Roma: follow signs for Pistoia, after 3 km you will reach a big roundabout turn left and follow signs to Quarrata. Approx 4 km later, having passed through the villages of Ferruccia and Vignole, crossed the traffic lights of ss 66 via Fiorentina, go ahead a further 800 mts, turn right, into via del Casone, where you will find us after 300 mts on the left.- Motorway (Autostrada) A-11 Firenze-Mare, if arriving from Pisa, take the Pistoia exit, immediately go right toward Prato. After 800 mts the second crossroads with traffic lights go right (this is via Fiorentina ss 66) and go straight on for approx 8 km, passing through the villages of Ponte alla Pergola, Bottegone, Barba you will find another set of traffic lights, just turn right to Quarrata. 800 mts further on turn right, this is via del Casone and just 300 mts on the left, here we are.How to reach us by air way:Airport international Amerigo Vespucci, Peretola, Florence (20 km)Airport internation Galileo Galilei, Pisa (70 km)
