Description: This is one of the best hotels in town. It is within walking distance from IPANEMA and LEBLON. It has an enormous range of services and facilities such as 3 swimming pools, tennis court, a pianno bar a well equiped gym, sauna etc as one would expect from a deluxe hotel. (11/07 RC)

Location Description: The only hotel situated on the beach front in a tranquil location between San Conrado and Ipanema beaches. Just above it lie the hills which are very green and scenic and offer a contrast to the ocean at the front of the hotel. Although all beaches in Rio are public, because of its unique and solitary position the beach seems to be a private one.

Exterior: A modern purpose built construction.

Lobby: The lobby is very large and modern. It has separate reception and concierge areas and a couple of lounge/bar areas overlooking the sea where music is played six nights a week. There are also a large array of boutiques selling from jewellery to sunbathing products.

Rooms: The majority of the rooms are large and in a very good condition. The remaining twenty per cent of the rooms, the suites, are large and in excellent condition. Decor is modern throughout and light colours are predominately used and the large windows in each room give much brightness. The rooms have carpeted floors throughout.

Dining: The hotel has three restaurants. Two are pool side restaurants, one pizzeria and one steak house. The main restaurant is to be found on the fifth floor and has a stunning view of the city and the sea. Serves international and local cuisine.
