Description: The Edgewater, Seattle's only waterfront hotel, overlooks Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains, and is situated at the water's edge on Pier 67. Built in 1962 as a temporary structure for the World's Fair, The Edgewater has become a Seattle landmark and a beloved part of the city's history. The illuminated red rooftop "E" provides direction for ships navigating in Puget Sound.

Directly over Elliott Bay, this unique location gives guests the access to waterfront shops & restaurants, Pike Place Market, the trendy Belltown neighborhood, the downtown financial district, Seattle Center - including the Space Needle, the Victoria Clipper, Washington State Ferries and the adjacent Myrtle Edwards Park -all within 5 minutes of the hotel. The Waterfront Street Car Bus operates from Pier 70 to Pioneer Square, offering free transportation along the waterfront.

Recently renovated guest rooms feature redesigned guest bathrooms with garnet-colored walls and white beadboard wainscot; including amber quartz slate flooring, glass surround European spa showers, and white vessel sinks atop absolute black granite counters and stainless steel base.

Like the Northwest, Six Seven offers distinct seasonal experiences. In the winter, diners relax fireside in the lounges overstuffed chairs. In summer months, the restaurant's bayside glass doors open wide, offering guests direct views of ships sailing Elliott Bay and exhilarating vistas of the Olympic mountains - the city's best alfresco meal setting. Guests enjoy cocktails at the glass-topped rough-split timber bar year round.

Valet parking at The Edgewater is $28 + tax per vehicle, per night.

Most of the hotel staff was pleasant. The bartender was arrogant and the hotel management didn't seem to have his/her finger on the pulse of operations. Lots of oversights on service in bar and restaurant and also with engineering staff. The movie rental on TV did not work. Received a refund. Parking fee for own car use was expensive! Our window slider broke. The front staff was very pleasant. Most likely won't stay there with the lack of staff communication and noise level of rooms.

Nice relaxed lobby with great ocean view. Not so great location without a car.

Overall the Edgewater hotel met my expectations, the hotel had an issue with its On demand television system and once the TV was on we could only shut it off by unplugging it from the wall. Engineering did not know what was causing the problem and could not fix it.

I have a love/hate relationship with this hotel. The water view rooms (avail for $50 extra if they aren't full) but the hotel is pretentious. City side rooms are small, very small and housekeeping knocked on our door twice, waking us up, to find out when we were leaving. Very frustrating! Also walked into the room without knocking early a.m. Hotel management did not adjust bill or do anything!

The staff was fabulous. They were helpful, friendly, and attentive to any needs or concerns. The additional expense of parking was a surprise. The valets were very fast, and the bellmen and room attendants were helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. The lobby was inviting and we enjoyed the family games overlooking the ocean. Our room was spacious, and we had a view of the space needle. The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. The workout room and business center were great.

It is a nice hotel. It will be better when they finish construction. A little messy right now as you make your way into the hotel.

Rooms are very small and high-priced. To be expected for waterfront in Seattle. 3-5 blocks from Pikes Street. The restaurant has extremely slow service.

This hotel is about 40 yrs old but has, of course, been updated. While the hunting/forest motif in the rooms is not my personal preference, the rooms were modern and clean. The negative is the dreadfully depressing hallways - dark, poorly decorated with out of date prints, and the "old" still very much in evidence even after renovations. It was a concerning walk to the guestrooms and I was pleased to find the room more inviting. The location is perfect for tourists visiting the waterfront and for cruise passengers.

I've already recommended it to friends, I hope to return soon. It was an ideal getaway for the weekend.

Beautiful hotel. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone else for the view, the beautiful rooms, and great location for walking everywhere.

I love this hotel. I love being on the water, the cruise ships are fun to watch. The bed is so comfortable. It's a ways down at the end of the piers, so bring your walking shoes.

The stay was fine. The room was city side, i.e. train side. Not pleasant. Bell service and shuttle guys were friendly. Hotel mistakenly charged me for valet, but whisked it off my bill once I pointed out the mistake.

Gorgeous room, gorgeous spaces, lovely bed, beautiful bathroom. Stunning bar and restaurant with views of the Sound and over to West Seattle. The fitness room is small but well-equipped. However, the air-conditioning wasn't working and it took several calls to get any service. It wasn't fixed that day or the next. I would definitely stay here again, though.

Fantastic property located right on the water. Worth every penny. Gas fireplace compliments the decor. The bathroom was incredible. Everything was great, even the valet guys went out of their way to be helpful.

The wood construction meant that every time the people upstairs walked across their floor, you could hear every step as they moved across their room. The toilet was so loud as it refilled you had to close the bathroom door to hear the TV or sleep. The air conditioner blew cold air directly down onto my bed and as it came on frequently during the night, and it was loud enough to awaken you before it did.

Beautiful location on the water. If you stay, pay the extra fee for the 'water side' of the hotel. The hotel rooms are small & have a strange odor. Eating at the restaurant on the deck overlooking the water is very nice. overall " I would categorize this as a 3-star property.

The location directly over Elliott bay couldn't be beat--at least on a beautiful day in the summer. Otherwise, it's out of the way, loaded with extra expenses (wireless charges, mandatory valet parking when the surface parking lot is right there), and just a bit funky with the plaid and Pendleton look. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is in an excellent location, provided a shuttle to downtown, has an excellent view, and beautiful rooms. Definitely would stay there again!
