My stay at the Tropicana was excellent all around. There was nothing negative with this trip. My fianc? and I are looking forward to returning there real soon.

Tropicana implies a tropical motif yet there was nothing to indicate this in the room or the lobby. Boring hotel. No bars or smoking. Casino cocktail waitress asked if you want a drink and then roll eyes if you say yes. Staff consistently lied. On the phone I was told that all the in room Jacuzzis had been turned into walk-in showers. Not true. In the casino I asked where the 24 hour coffee shop was and was told there was only a deli. Also not true. I definitely would not stay here again. I also doubt I would bother with this destination (Atlantic city) again. They know how to take the fun out of gambling. If I'm going to loose my money gambling I want it to be fun. There was no sports book for betting on pro sports either.

Good hotel, good casino, clean, good price. only complaint is that they charge you $10 for using the indoor swimming pool, and room service is very expensive

I was extremly disappointed in this hotel, especially considering what I paid for the room. It was clean, but that is about as good as it gets. The beds were horrible, and I woke up with a terrible back ache! Additionally, the hallways were extremely loud, and I was up half the night listening to the neighbors bang on the doors and run up and down the hall. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I'd advise other travelers to avoid it all cost.

This was my first time at the Trop.,but I thought it was a great experience. Food is a little pricey but good,I was fortunate to get there before the rush so no wait at registration.Get there early! Loved the room and had no problem with staff until morning when room service tried to barge in,twice! Use door latch and get Do Not Disturb sign! Am definatly going again!

This is a good hotel for the price. We called the day of our reservation and the reservationist was kind enough to reserve an ocean front room. The decor was out-of-date, and the carpet needed cleaning. However, the room was a clean, large suite! All the staff spoke English, (everyone in America is an immigrant, except native American Indians,) We had a pleasant chair ride down the Boardwalk with a lovely girl from Poland. Everything is conveniently located, but the food and drinks were pricey. Eat at Tony's - a block away.

This whole experience was a nightmare!! They weren't prepared for the amount of people checking-in (which took forever and was poorly run!) To make matters worse, this so-called high-end hotel smelled of dirty feet and sweat throughout- it was worse in the rooms. Ate at one of the "best" restaurants, paid high prices for lousy meals.

14. From: Jeff Y., Bothell Wa U.s.a.

No service staff spoke English; means and drinks were VERY overpriced; $* for a beer and a coke; dining was terrible; pool was closed without warning; save your money; go to Vegas

15. From: Katy B. july 02

This hotel was TERRIBLE!! The rooms were extremely nasty and my room had a huge hole in it. It had no refrigerator, microwave, or coffee pot! The food in the hotel was EXPENSIVE. Check-in was awful, since no one spoke english. The staff was very unfriendly. Very disappointed.

16. From: Kt J., Jackson Hole Wy Usa

It was a living hell staying in the Tropicana. EVERYONE was unfriendly, and no one at the front desk spoke English....hello, we are in freaking AMERICA! The West Tower, where I stayed, was AWFUL! The hallways were loud, and my room had a HUGE HOLE IN THE WALL!!! It looked like someone drop-kicked the WALL!!! When I was checking in "X" couldn't really help me since he didn't speak any english. I was so pissed off.

17. From: Sally W., New York Ny Us
 Date of Stay: June, 2007
We had a very smooth check-in, staff at front desk was nice and upgraded us to the Havana Tower with a fabulous ocean view (room there was pretty musty and dirty to our suprise). Horrible check-out however - the staff threw us the receipt and overcharged us without an explanation!!! We ended up filing a complaint with the manager and he corrected the charge. Would only recommend for a quick stay!

18. From: Patricia M., East Brunswick Nj Usa
 Date of Stay: May, 2007
The room was much larger than I expected for the price. Everyone was very helpful. We didn't have enough towels, was perhaps the only problem, but a call to housekeeping and they arrived promptly. The hotel is in a casino so there's lots of activity -- which I like. The location is great...the ocean is just outside the door and of course, the casino and The Quarter where it's fun to shop and dine.

19. From: Paul R., Drums Pa Usa
 Date of Stay: April, 2007
Two flaws spoiled an otherwise great get-away. The room in the extra-cost Havana tower was both ordinary and musty, not what one would expect for a upgraded room. And the staff barely spoke English. On the other hand, The Quarter, a Vegas-style (inhotel) shopping/restaurant mall had a great variety of stores and restaurants, catering to all prices and patrons. They ranged from sports bars to family style Italian to high end steak (The Palm). In short, a nice Atlantic City Hotel in a nice location with much to recommend it for a short vacation.

20. From: K. G. april 08
 Date of Stay: April, 2007
Reserved room not available when arrived after 4:30; either wait two hours or accept another room.Alternative room in West tower where the lights below shined in window all nite. Service staff very unhelpful and snobby. Work being done in casino area made finding the buffet very hard. Waited 30 minutes to have valet service get my car. Won't go to that one again.
