Not bad at all, except the noise I heard from a compressor/electric device which was annoying. I can't say it is inside or outside the hotel.

The hotel was in a quiet street, guarded by armed police becauce of the ministry next door. When we arrived, the man on the reception was not very polite. With sneakers and jeans we probably didn´t look like upper class guests, but we had booked a room so he gave us one. There was no introduction of the hotel, so we had to find our room ourself and later we even had to ask for breakfast time and other services. Breakfast was great. The room was very used, exspecialy the bathroom. The door didn´t close, the cupboard wasn´t realy fixed on the wall and different other furnitures were also broken. But there was a nice view to St. Maria Maggiore and you could reach many historic places within a short walk.

The hotel is a nice, well maintained, property situated in the center of Rome in a very quiet environnement. The rooms were very clean and the recently renovated bathrooms were nice, although they had no bathtub. The weather was sunny during our whole stay. The absence of heating was, however, a problem: The temperature in the rooms during the night hardly reached 16°C. An extra blanket was kindly provided by the staff, but this was certainly a discomfort, specially for our kids.

This was the first Hotel of our Honeymoon and we were actually booked in another hotel of this chain. The other hotel was a 3star and it was overbooked so they put us up at a 4 star in a 2 room suite. Nice way to start a wonderful trip.

This was a charming hotel which was in a very safe neighborhood. (Next the Minister of the Interiors Offices). We were within walking distance of the train station, Colliseum, and Forum. The breakfast was good and the staff was very cheerful. It was very helpful that they could provide us with optional tours that could pick us up at the hotel. The hotel also has internet access for a small fee.

I must say that the hotel was quiet and clean. The breakfast was very good. There is a small restaurant at the nearest corner that has the best food and waiters. Although the inanimate aspects of the hotel were good, the staff seemed to be unhappy and stressed which made them indifferent and stone faced to us. They did all we asked but nothing more and never with a smile. Unless there is a staff change, I would not recommend this hotel as lovely as it is.

Would highly recommend Viminale Rome. Ideal location for Station, airport transits and city highlights. Room quality/spaciousness the best we've seen in many European capitals.Surprisingly quiet too. Roof terrace a bonus. Even breakfast is a fun experience. Try it!

our room was clean, quiet but very tight on space. The shower was very powerful. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel was about a 7 minute walk from Termini station, do not get ripped off by cab drivers who wanted 20 euro for what should be a 3 euro cab drive. We walked to hotel, but had to drag suitcases over the cobble streets. The shuttle bus from Ciampino airport takes you to Termini station for 8 euros, good value. We would stay at the Viminale again.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The air conditioning did not work, resulting in a very hot room. The mattress turned out to be a pad of foam on a sheet of chipboard so was very soft and resulted in an even hotter and sweatier night than would have been the case if only the air con did not work. It is obvious the hotel is in serious need of renovation and decorating. To top it all, the following morning we discovered that there was no hot water, and hadn't been since the previous day. They failed to tell us this on arrival and could give no indication of when an engineer might be called in. We had booked for four nights but checked out after one, and we didn't even get a refund for the unsatisfactory stay we had experienced. Breakfast was also very poor, and looked extremely unappetising. We found a newly renovated B&B round the corner for 80 euros a night, a saving of 25 per night on Viminale and far more comfortable and better equipped. Not the way you expect to spend on night of your honeymoon!
