My husband and I spent our 39th anniversary at Sunset Key Cottages and were delighted by the peaceful setting and easy access to old town Key West. The cottages are spacious and beautifully appointed, the beds are indeed "heavenly," and the garden views are as pretty as the ocean views. Bring your beach shoes because the beach is pristine and private but the shells can be sharp. Dinner served on the beach under a full moon was the crowning touch and we will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay at this facility. The cottages are extremely comfortable and romantic. The views were only surpassed by the company I was with.

Our "ocean front" room faced the marina instead. Directly across from us was a huge private yacht three of our four days. And forget about any ocean view because every morning there was a giant cruise ship almost parked in our room. Any "side" ocean view that we might have had was completely blocked off. We didn't need an alarm clock because the announcements from the ships were heard clearly into our room. On the last day we had breakfast outside facing the ocean and the ocean view was totally blocked off by not one, but two cruise ships docked one behind the other.

Our stay was exceptional. The appearance, the staff and service was flawless. We were handled marvelously by your concierge staff. Greeted with a smile and positive presence each time we saw her, as well as handled our entire daily schedule. She is a tremendous asset to your beautiful hotel. We are already looking forward to return soon

This hotels staff is the worst I've ever seen. When I asked about a possible upgrade, the girl said"don't even try it"!. Never had a hi or anything from any staff. The rest. had a great view but i felt like I was eating at Denny's until the bill came.

7. From: Gene R., Deerfield Beach FL USA
 Date of Stay: May, 2006
I booked this hotel primarily due to it's proximity to the Duval St. nightlife. This was very convenient, since I was travelling with a large group. I was pleasantly surprised to get to the suite, to find out that the room had a balcony that overlooked Key West harbor which gave us a perfect view of the world famous Key West sunset. The room had a Jacuzzi tub, but didn't have a drain stopper, so it was rendered useless. Overall, it is a very good hotel, and this being my 4th visit to Key West, I would definitely stay here again.
